How the U-Joint Works: The U-Joint HelmsMate model features a fulcrum point where the handle meets the tiller itself. This enables simple push-pull steering rather than a wide arc with fixed tiller extensions. Ideal for users who need to sit in one spot while controlling the trolling speed and direction of the boat, including bow-mounted trolling motors, kicker motors, kayaks, and canoes.

Fixed or Extendable HelmsMates: The HelmsMate tiller extension line includes both fixed and extendable models. The extendable models can be shortened or lengthened by pressing the snap button and moving the inner tube in or out. The snap button design ensures steering control is maintained at all times, which is superior to twist-lock type adjustments.

HelmsMate Applications: Ideal for electric trolling motors, kicker motors, and small outboards. All HelmsMates are manufactured with anodized aluminum tubing, corrosion-resistant hardware, and a tough nylon tiller clamp. Each model is designed for trolling speeds only.
